Hawke's Bay

I arrived at Hawke's bay area after 5 hours of bus, very good plan very cheap and easy. So my host is came pick me up and he has drived until his house. About 15 min from Hasting's and I could see than the country is very dry and it's a problem for the farmers said my host.

Here there are almost nobody and it's so wild with the hills it's really very particular. And I never seen so many sheeps in my life. Where I watch somewhere I can see a sheeps.

Butch my host has a small house but very pretty and pleasant with a big windows where I can look the sheeps and the landscape far away.

My room is amazing all in wood and very cozy, Butch is carpenter and I think very gifted with his hands, he has a big work shop with a lot of machines. There is a good atmosphere inside with the smell of woods.

For me this place is a small paradise, today I have helped butch to feed with maïs the pheasants in his propriety, on his quad, it was incredible, It was like indiana jones, very crazy.
I enjoy really to be here in the true New Zealand !
